This season, S2S has been overwhelmed with the amount of fundraisers of all shapes and sizes to support children globally. Both existing partner churches and new churches have shown such generosity! The holidays are in full swing, and S2S is absolutely blessed by all of the support.
During October, Metrolina Christian Academy and First Baptist Church of Indian Trail began honoring the life of Joseph Wall at football games with a shoe drive. About 1,000 pairs of shoes have been collected so far, and next month there will be a memorial birthday banquet on Nov 16 6-8pm. All proceeds will benefit a memorial scholarship as well as S2S Mission.
Thank you to Joseph's family and our community partners for helping to make sure children have the shoes that they need for the upcoming cold months!
For Halloween, our partners Elevation Church and Outreach, The Power Center, and Ground40 hosted an outreach and blessed over 80 kids with new shoes before Christmas. Thank you to these sponsors for ensuring that neighbors have the hope and shoes that they need!
Then to kick off our end-of-year-gift-giving campaign beginning Nov 1, earlier this week nearly 80 golfers and sponsors came together for S2S Mission's first annual charity golf tournament! They raised enough money to provide over 800 kids with new shoes before Christmas.
S2S Mission has already heard from new churches who want to support our Mission, and youth groups gathering for a "Friendsgiving" who are going to gather shoes as they gather together later this month and give to S2S.
