James 2:14-16
“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘go in peace; keep warm and well fed’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
Founder John Fagala of Sole 2 Soul Mission shares about the ministry and how you can say yes and help now:
"In 2013 He [God] told me to go out and start Sole 2 Soul. I told him no. I didn't have the money, and didn't know where to find the kids, and all of that. In November of 2016, Jill [my wife, the school nurse] sent me a picture of the little boy who was wearing size 4 shoes and he needed size 6 and was at school.
As kids will come in, we wash their feet, we will pray with them, and they get new socks and shoes. But we are very intentional about talking to them about Jesus. 'Do you have Jesus? Does He live in your heart?'
Because that may be the only opportunity that we get. We don't understand until we get a report back from somebody that the kids have new shoes now, but they're living outside, or the kids have new shoes but they're hungry.
